No such luck

Well we didn't win a free wedding. But we did win a gift certificate for $50 off a wedding cake, and we did find an officiant. I was thinking of getting a small two tiered cake to go along with our apple cider donuts and brownies at the dessert table so the certificate is going to come in handy. Besides the fiancee was real disappointed with the idea that he might not get a chance to taste cakes.

Honeymoon Obsession

I am becoming more obsessed with the honeymoon then with the wedding! I love traveling, more than anything in the world. I would gladly pack my bag and spend the rest of my life seeing different places with the one I love. If only it were simple and inexpensive and if only my job would hold my position for me when I got back. But alas a girl can dream.

Anyway I am becoming particularly obsessed with Belgium. I visited Brussels for a day and a half when I was 16 and I loved it, it is still my favorite place I have ever been, and the idea of going back is making me giddy.

I am discovering that Belgium is known for its love of beer, chocolate, bicycles, and well "french" fries actually come from Belgium! I mean if those things don't tell you how much FI and I are going to enjoy Belgium well then I don't know what will.

I am particularly excited about the possibility of staying here while in Antwerp. I mean look at that view.

This weekend is a bridal show and engagement party hosted by our venue, Dunham's Bay Resort. They are raffling off a FREE wedding. It would truly be the most amazing thing that could happen. Hopefully we can also find a reasonably priced DJ and maybe some other vendors as well. So here is to luck!

Per Request...

We have decided on a Honeymoon. It might not actually be technically a honeymoon, since we may not be able to go until the spring

BUT (drum roll please...)

We will be going to Amsterdam, Antwerp, Brussels, and Paris. Two nights in each city hostel hopping and taken trains! Check out our honeymoon registry ;)
