More CAKE!

I am falling in love with this cake design:

The search is on

for wedding music. We have put this off for far too long. Its now or never. We have come into some money a.k.a my parents found savings bonds from when I was born, and we are going to put that towards either hiring a professional or renting professional sound equipment or just throwing it at people so they are distracted and don't notice there is no music.

Let them eat cake!

A friend of ours has been posting pictures of amazing cakes on Facebook. After looking at some of her cakes I had to message her, and she has agreed to help us have a dream cake for a fraction of what normal wedding cakes cost. An average cake is $500! Which is definitely not in our budget. I originally thought just having a few small cakes, donuts, and brownies would be the answer to saving costs. But now I can start dreaming about TIERED cakes. I sent her this picture which I fell in love with a while back:



She says she can totally do it! Now I am on the hunt for more tiered wedding cake pictures.

Photo Booth

I am most excited about our possible photobooth. Hopefully our friend will be able to recreate his previous photobooth magic during our cocktail hour.

This summer we are going to work at building a booth of sorts. Here is our inspiration:

Vase

Dollar Tree has some really nice vases. In fact they have a shorter version of the vase I wanted to use for the centerpieces. And at only a $1.00 that would be a savings of close to $50.00! That's enough to cover the cost of the unexpected Save the Dates.
