This might change everything

I just found a beautiful centerpiece on etsy, that I am currently struggling to not immediately purchase. If I were to purchase it and was to discover that it's as fabulous as I anticipate I would then need to immediately order 20 more for the wedding.

What do you think?

She has them listed at $16.50 a piece! That is kind of a steal, a little more then my original idea but they are so gorgeous, I don't know what to do!

  1. original idea = apples?
I think you should order one (1!!!), and then sometime soon, we can go apple picking and recreate what your original idea is and how much it will really cost to make them (including vases, etc). Then lets see if we can recreate this one with stuff from Michaels for less than what she's asking. I bet once Christmas stuff hits the stores, the price of fall foliage will go on sale like WHOA.

  2. This one has real dried flowers though. (read in whinny voice).

I think it will still be more than I am willing to spend (with shipping and everything) and these types of centerpieces are semi wasteful (what am I going to do with 20 dried flower centerpieces!). At least we can re-use apples!

They are really pretty though :)

  3. Very Pretty....

BUT you can challenge everyone to take a centerpiece made of apples home and make some delicious creation which they must then send to you and Gavin (or me).

Also, I am a fan of your idea about keeping it simple/the whole less-is-more design aesthetic. Lainey's right, Michael's may be able to offer some cheap/unique alternatives, too (also I may have an "in" to get a discount there!).
